Bespoke Outdoor are delighted to offer a position for a full time Shop Floor Operative to assist us with building our made to measure garden furniture range.
The role will consist of the following duties:
Cutting timber on a bench mitre saw accurately to sizes required
Product assembly, mostly garden planters, using power hand tools (nail gun/drills/belt sander/impact driver etc)
Painting products with the use of a spray gun (training to be provided)
Packaging products to ship with couriers
General shop floor duties including tidying, working material deliveries and more
We are therefore looking for somebody with the following skillset:
Previous basic woodworking experience in a work environment.
Strong competence with power tools
A positive understanding of health and safety in the workplace
Strong basic maths skills
The individual will also need:
A positive professional attitude to work with 100% attendance expected
Pride in their craftmanship and finishing
Be physically fit and strong and able to lift items individually up to 30kg and as a pair of up to 100kg*
Ideally you will drive your own vehicle as our workshop is remote with no public transport links (we are on the new Weston-Clevedon cycle route)
*Where possible we will aim to cater to those who may have a disability or longstanding injury which limits this ability.

We are a Monday-Friday operation from 8.30am to 5pm with a 30 minute lunch break, giving a total of 40 working hours per week. During peak season overtime is readily available to those who are performing well.
