Shop Manager

Dorchester, Trinity Street

35 hours per week, variable working pattern

Permanent Contract

Retail Salary Scale: 26,828

This is an exciting opportunity for you to become our next Shop Manager at our Dorchester Shop.

Everyone who comes through the door, whether to shop or donate goods, should have a positive experience so they'll make Weldmar their charity of choice in future.

You'll have full responsibility for all operational aspects of the day-to-day running of the shop, including managing a team of employees and volunteers. Ensuring the shop is well-presented, stocked, and financially successful will be key. You'll monitor sales, implement strategies for improvement, ensure high standards of customer service and shop presentation which will maximise income and directly contribute to the care we provide to patients and families across Dorset.

We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team. You'll be proactive, organised, and have a commitment to our values as well as to developing your career in retail.

This care is given in the comfort of patients' own homes, in the community, and at our Inpatient Unit in Dorchester. All care is provided free of charge and mainly funded by the continued support of our local community, via fundraising initiatives and events, our retail chain, and gifts left in wills, enabling us to raise the 27,500 we need every day to keep our services going.
