Charity Shop Manager

to spearhead our Gateshead shop. This isn't just about managing a store, it's about leading a mission. You'll be the driving force behind a crucial revenue stream that directly funds life-changing therapy for military veterans and their families.

Your Mission

Our Gateshead shop is a flagship location, one of our largest stores and a vital part of our mission. It's a hub of activity, packed with everything from clothing and bric-a-brac to electricals and a significant furniture section. Based at our Headquarters, this location also includes a separate cafe and a therapy centre where our charity carries out its vital services.

Every item sold, every customer served, and every volunteer you inspire directly supports our work helping veterans overcome PTSD and other combat-related issues.

As the

Shop Manager

, you will:

Lead a purpose-driven team.

Empower and guide our dedicated volunteers, many of whom are veterans themselves, helping them build confidence and skills.

Generate vital income.

Use your creativity and retail expertise to turn pre-loved items into a thriving source of sustainable funding, with a special focus on the large furniture element of the store.

Be a community champion.

Create a welcoming space that serves as a hub for veterans and their families, providing information and fostering a sense of belonging.

Innovate and inspire.

Push the boundaries of charity retail, creating a visually stunning and customer-focused environment that reflects the excellence of our organization.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a retail professional with a passion for excellence and a heart for our cause. You should have:

A minimum of

two years of experience as a Shop Manager

, preferably in a charity retail environment. The ability to transform a shop floor with exceptional merchandising and an eye for detail. The business acumen to meet and exceed profit targets. A trustworthy and reliable character with experience in cash and stock management. The physical capability to handle the daily demands of a busy shop, including lifting and carrying stock and furniture.

Salary:

12.60 per hour

Annual Leave:

20 days + Bank Holidays (pro rata)
