Shopfloor Foreman



Based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire - On site



Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5pm (45-minute lunch break)



RCM, part of the Benx Group, are a major supplier of building boards and facade solutions. We now have an opportunity for an experienced Shopfloor Foreman to join our team. The role would suit someone with a background in Construction or similar. Previous experience completing quotations and operating CNC machines is essential.

Responsibilities will include;



To comply and manage the health and safety regulations and assist with monitoring of health and safety within the unit

Deliver Toolbox talks with support from the Production Foreman and H&S where needed

Overseeing inductions and competency sign off for operatives alongside the Production Foreman.

Deliver training to existing and new employees on new machines

Take ownership over new starter induction plans

Creates and manages employee schedules.

Oversees daily work of employees, assigns duties to operatives

Updating office management on issues

First point of contact for operatives - machine issues, people issues, absence etc.

Assists in repair, construction, maintenance, or other tasks involved in client work orders.

Reviews work completed to ensure it is up to quality standards and ensures that all deadlines are met.

Addresses and resolves customer issues and complaints.

Inspects and cleans equipment within the unit

Fixes equipment and machinery as necessary

Operates unit machinery such as forklifts or manufacturing equipment.

Ensures that unit area is clean, organised, and free of dangerous or hazardous material.

Manage the utilisation of tooling, Saw blades, cutters, drills etc

Experience and Knowledge Require



Previous experience operating CNC machines is essential

Experience within a Production environment would be advantageous

Forklift Operators Licence

IT Skills

Organisational skills

Good communication skills - both verbal and written
