Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Blaster/painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in using hand tools and power tools. This role involves preparing surfaces for painting or coating by removing old finishes, rust, and other contaminants. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all blasting and painting operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Operate blasting equipment to prepare surfaces for painting or coating. Utilise various hand tools and power tools to assist in the blasting process. Conduct basic assembly tasks as required during the preparation phase. Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing blasting operations. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specifications. Perform routine maintenance on blasting equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with some experience Familiarity with warehouse operations and construction painting techniques. Experience using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: From 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 45 per week
