Job Overview



We are looking for a

skilled and dedicated Shot Blaster

to join our team, working both at customer sites and within our own modern facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out shot blasting operations safely and efficiently, preparing and treating surfaces in line with industry and safety standards.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working with tools, machinery, and fabrication processes. You will play a key part in delivering high-quality results across a variety of

construction, manufacturing, and large-scale projects

, both in-house and on-site.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare work areas, ensuring all equipment is set up correctly and safety protocols are followed. Perform shot blasting operations within our

state-of-the-art large-scale blast room

and on customer sites. Handle and apply materials with accuracy, following strict safety and quality standards. Operate a range of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and shot blasting systems. Inspect blast areas before and after work to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient task coordination and timely completion of projects. Maintain accurate records of materials used and work performed. Adhere to all

health and safety regulations

, including the correct use of PPE at all times.

Skills & Qualifications



Solid

mechanical knowledge

and confidence operating tools and industrial equipment. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and shot blasting equipment with good working techniques. Experience in

construction, painting, assembly, or warehouse

environments is highly beneficial.

Previous experience working on construction sites

, understanding site procedures and safety requirements. Strong understanding of

safety protocols

related to blasting and surface preparation. Good

mathematical skills

for measurements, calculations, and record keeping. Previous experience in physically demanding or warehouse-based roles preferred. Excellent

organisation, teamwork, and attention to detail

. A

professional, can-do attitude

with the ability to represent the company positively and respectfully on client sites. Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Full driving licence

preferred.

CSCS card

preferred.

IPAF certification

advantageous (training can be provided). Experience with

powder coating

or

airless paint spraying

would be an advantage.

Job Type: Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 13.00-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
