About GWE

GWE is an agricultural manufacturing business, based outside Newtownards, County Down, Northern Ireland. GWE manufacture a range of agricultural equipment and trailers. Due to an increased workload, GWE are seeking to employ a skilled Spray Painter and shotblaster to join the team.

Position: Spray Painter/Shotblaster - Agricultural Equipment and Machines.

Hours:

Would suit part-time, with the opportunity to become full-time, part-time hours to be flexible, depending on production requirements.

Job Overview

GWE are seeking a skilled Spray Painter and shotblaster to join the manufacturing team, you'll play a pivotal role in the manufacturing of equipment during the final stages of production; preparing equipment for painting, painting and applying stickers.

The ideal candidate will possess attention to detail and a desire to finish equipment to the highest standard.

Main Responsibilities:

Following the welding process, the candidate will prepare the equipment for painting through shotblasting or laser cleaning. Prepping equipment for painting, sealing welds with filler, mixing paint and painting Painting with Graco spray pump Cleaning spray pump and work area After drying, finalise finishing touches and attaching stickers to finish the products.

Essential Skills and requirements:

3 years experience in shotblasting 3 years experience in the application of 2k paint using Graco spray pump Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality To be flexible with work hours, depending on production requirements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Proactive team player with good communication skills Must be reliable and on-time with ability to work independently and meet deadlines Health and safety conscious

Desirable Skills:

Trained to operate a Forklift Experience in MIG welding and steel fabrication Be able to work a CNC plasma cutter and/or press brake
