Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Transport & Logistics Manager

Main Duties:
Safely and accurately moving trailers on a busy multi-building site. Transferring goods between production, warehouse areas and parking areas.
Assist with the flow of traffic in and out of the yard by liaising with Transport and visiting drivers.
Loading and unloading of goods using Manual Handling Equipment when needs arise.
Safe and accurate operating of company vehicles and equipment, adhering to Operator license and legal requirements - including maintenance and safety checks.
Moving goods to offsite storage and Head Office.
Monitoring services / MOTs - liaising with Transport Office and delivering vehicles for regular inspections.
Conducting daily checks, immediately reporting any defects and / or damage and completing associated documentation.
Effectively managing your own working time in line with the Road Transport and working time Directives and adhering to all other Operator License requirements.
Observing and adhering to company rules, site procedures and all aspects of Health & Safety and Hygiene at all times.
Working in conjunction with production and logistics personnel to achieve targets under the supervision of the Logistics Team and Site Managers.
Adhering to deadlines and varying production workloads.
Regular housekeeping of vehicles, yard and trailer area. Completing daily trailer checks and reporting to Transport Team.
Maintain a safe site during the winter months.

Requirements:
HGV C&E Driver licence entitlement
up-to-date CPC & tachograph card
Maximum 6 points (No DR, DD or DG codes)
Flexibility desired for holiday cover
Experience of Manual Handling Equipment an advantage

-Hours of work are 06:00-18:00, 4 shifts on 4 shifts off
