Job Description

Vacancy:

We are looking to recruit a Shunter Van Driver., who will be based onsite at Fishponds. The hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4pm, 12.60 per hour.


A full UK driving license is required with a maximum of 3 penalty points for insurance purposes.


Please note this role

DOES NOT

involve any HGV class 1 or 2 driving.

Purpose:

To facilitate the efficient receipt, inspection, storage and delivery of vehicles and goods

onsite

at TGS, including handling of associated paperwork.

Duties:

coordinate onsite vehicle bay movements. check in/out vans carefully recording and notifying any shortages or damage to relevant dept. storage of vehicles, paperwork and keys and goods safely and correctly. occasional transportation of vans to Avonmouth Bristol. maintenance of excellent relations with customers and their staff. completion of company vehicle checks as instructed. conduct regular checks on all vehicles to ensure they meet the necessary safety and compliance standards. If a vehicle or trailer is not compliant defect to the workshop for repairs or maintenance.

Skills:

ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. self-motivated with a positive attitude, reliable and quick learner. ability to work in a small sub-team. good awareness of health and safety procedures.
