Shutdown Maintenance Engineer
Location: Rotherham
Contract Length: 3 Months
Hourly Rate: 32-33p/h DOE
Shifts: Thursday and Friday - 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (24 hours p/w)
We are seeking Shutdown Maintenance Engineers to join a leading engineering company for a critical project in Rotherham. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the maintenance of critical systems during scheduled shutdowns.
Shutdown Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a shutdown maintenance plan for electrical systems, including control panels, PLCs, and motors.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot electrical faults.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical components, including conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines.
• Implement system upgrades to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records of electrical repairs and parts replaced.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical systems during shutdown.

Qualifications & Experience:

• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience in Food manufacturing
• Knowledge of or electrical systems (PLCs, control panels).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure during shutdowns.
• Ability to read electrical schematics
