Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a Shuttering Carpenter for various sites around Kent. This role requires a strong background in various construction and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on hands-on skills and mechanical knowledge. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently and as part of a team, demonstrating proficiency in a range of tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

Perform welding tasks to fabricate and repair metal structures. Utilise hand tools and power tools for various construction projects. Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment. Engage in carpentry work, including the installation of fixtures and fittings. Carry out roofing tasks, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Execute masonry work, including bricklaying and stone setting. Handle heavy lifting as required for different projects. Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of materials when necessary.

Experience

Proven experience in welding, carpentry, roofing, masonry, or related fields is essential. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is required to perform tasks effectively. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist in troubleshooting equipment issues. Ability to manage heavy lifting safely and efficiently is crucial for this role. Previous experience in commercial driving is advantageous but not mandatory.
