Overview

We are seeking a skilled Shuttering Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to work on various projects, including residential and commercial buildings. This role requires both precision and creativity, as you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood.

Duties

Construct and install timber shutters as required Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate material requirements. Perform masonry work as needed for various projects. Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure timely project completion. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, performing basic mechanical maintenance as required. Assist in heavy lifting tasks associated with the transportation of materials to job sites.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter or similar role in construction. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. CSCS Card is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 kg) as required on-site. Familiarity with masonry techniques is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
