Job Overview


We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen sense of situational awareness, and the ability to manage diverse situations with professionalism. This role involves overseeing entry points, monitoring activities, and providing excellent customer service to create a safe and welcoming environment. Prior experience in security, management, or customer service is highly valued, along with multilingual or bilingual abilities to serve diverse clientele effectively.

Responsibilities



Manage access control at entry and exit points, verifying identification and adherence to security protocols Monitor premises through surveillance and patrols to identify potential security threats or safety hazards Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor Handle conflict resolution and de-escalate tense situations with tact and diplomacy Assist in employee orientation and training related to security procedures and customer service standards Collaborate with management team to develop security strategies and improve operational efficiency Maintain detailed logs of incidents, visitor records, and daily activities using POS systems or other record-keeping tools Conduct interviews for potential staff members when required, participating in the hiring process Oversee inventory management for security equipment and supplies, ensuring proper stock levels and maintenance Support store or venue management with shift management, supervising team members, and ensuring compliance with safety policies

Experience



Prior supervisory or managerial experience in security, retail, or hospitality environments is preferred Demonstrated skills in negotiation, customer service, team management, and conflict resolution Experience with administrative tasks such as payroll, bookkeeping, inventory control, and cash handling Proficiency in communication skills; multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous Familiarity with POS systems, purchasing procedures, merchandising, marketing, and retail math is beneficial Proven ability to manage time effectively across shift management duties while maintaining organizational skills Experience in training & development programs for staff members or team leadership roles such as assistant manager is desirable Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store operations can be an asset depending on the setting

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour
