Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Door Supervisor to join our security team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and patrons. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. As a Door Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring entry points, ensuring compliance with licensing laws, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring that only authorised individuals enter. Conduct regular surveillance of the venue using CCTV systems to identify any suspicious behaviour or potential threats. Enforce venue policies and procedures while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanour. Respond promptly to incidents, providing first aid assistance when necessary and liaising with emergency services as required. Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying and addressing theft or other criminal activities within the venue. Maintain accurate records of incidents, visitor logs, and any relevant documentation as required by management. Collaborate with other security personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination during events or busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a security role or as a Door Supervisor is preferred but not essential. Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence is required. Strong understanding of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques. First aid certification is advantageous; training may be provided for suitable candidates. Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people. A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
