Female Support Worker Required 4hrs per week. 12.00 per hr.

Post subject to PVG with Disclosure Scotland and 2 References one being your last employer.

Contracted post with 5.6 weeks annual leave dependent on hours worked.

Hours of support will be discussed on interview.

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Support Worker with the right personality and attitude to provide support to a young woman who is blind and has some additional learning and mobility support needs. The right person for this role will be friendly and welcoming and will take the time to build a trusting relationship with the young woman who is quiet when meeting new people.

As the young woman's Support Worker, you will assist and encourage her with her hobbies and interests as well as provide general assistance with day-to-day activities, within and out with her home environment. A flexible, adaptable and responsive approach will ensure the young woman's needs are met and that any problems or environmental risks encountered are sensitively managed. The young woman has an interest in animals, audio books, films and music and she enjoys spending time writing her own stories on her computer, baking and cooking.

She would like some help in formatting and editing her stories as well as assistance in researching new recipes that can be tried and tested together, and therefore skills and interest in these areas is important. This opportunity promises a great deal of satisfaction for the right Support Worker whose support will be highly valued and appreciated by this gentle and caring young woman.

This young woman has a very supportive family and welcome support to enable some independence in her life. A good knowledge of the local area would be advantageous and understanding of the difficulties sight impairment has on an individuals live would be a great asset.

Pay: 12.60 per hour
