We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical components and systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications to accurately assemble machinery and equipment.
Fit, align, and assemble mechanical parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialised measuring instruments.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs or adjustments as required.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve technical problems efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and maintenance activities.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
A thorough understanding of different types of signage, facias, totems, different fixing types, illumination and preferably vinyl graphics
Skills
Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar mechanical assembly role.
Strong understanding of technical drawings, schematics, and engineering principles.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical faults effectively.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
