Job Summary

We are seeking an Apprentice Sign Maker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to learn on the job and will attend online college course. As a Sign Maker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality signage that meets client specifications while ensuring precision and attention to detail. Training will include, understanding customer briefs, taking their idea through to design, onto production and finally installing.

Duties

Utilise hand tools and power tools to assemble various types of signs, including banners, posters, vehicle livery, dimensional signage. Operate machinery in the warehouse to cut, shape, and finish materials used in sign production. Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for custom signage. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards before delivery or installation. Assist in the inventory management of materials required for sign production.

Qualifications

No previous experience necessary as full training will be provided. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively would be advantageou. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow precise specifications and instructions. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to learn new techniques in sign making.
