Benson Signs, part of LPW Group, are a Liverpool based sign maker established in 1969 who have built up a reputation as one of the UK's leading sign specialists.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced full-time Sign Studio Technician to join our growing team.

As part of a busy studio environment you will contribute to sustainable growth, ensuring that production quality and productivity are kept to the absolute maximum whilst working at times in a high paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the signage and or print industry, and display the key skill required within the role

Main Aims

The preparation, cutting and application of self-adhesive backed vinyl prints and lettering to a range of rigid surfaces on our premises.

Key Responsibilities

Be involved in all aspects of studio production Operate and maintain a large variety of large format machinery and flatbed printers Check artwork production ready files from final designs and artwork Produce sign studio graphics, digital prints and vinyl graphics for application to flat materials. Set-up and processing of computer files for digital printing and the cutting of self-adhesive vinyl Any other ad-hoc duty in line with the role

Key Requirements

Sign Industry Experience Knowledge of a wide range of materials and print media associated with sign graphics Experience of setting up print files using rip software and the operation of wide format digital printers Excellent skills in Adobe Illustrator, Coral Draw etc. Ability to work under pressure, on your own initiative and at times unsupervised Ability to infer job production details from internal job management system Knowledge of Clarity Pro/Go is advantageous Use of finishing equipment such as laminators, mount rollers and cutters Can-do attitude, professionalism, great communication skills with strong attention to detail
