What you'll be responsible for:
Provide an administrative service within Hillis Lodge Inpatient Unit, liaising with all relevant and appropriate services and departments to ensure a high quality efficient and effective inpatient service is provided. To contribute and work towards the service/organisational aims and objectives
Provide a full medical secretarial service to the Consultant Psychiatrist assisting them in achieving their objectives, organise their workload and to liaise with all relevant and appropriate services, including audio typing duties.
Support the Ward Manager/Nursing Team in the maintenance and development of administrative services by providing modern, professional administrative services on the Ward. Primarily alleviating the administrative workload of nursing staff enabling them to focus on quality patient care.
Act as the focal point of contact for the service, with responsibility for the dissemination of information, enquiries for the Consultant, Ward Manager and Team, resolving queries, taking messages and communicating them in a timely and effective manner as appropriate.
Arranging meetings, reviews, case conferences, taking formal minutes of meetings and circulating the documentation in a timely manner.
Booking meeting rooms as and when available and upon inquiry form internal trust employees and for external purposes, under the guidance of the Ward Manager.
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You'll have the following skills/experience:
Administration experience (essential)
Medical Secretary experience (desirable)
NHS experience (highly desirable)
Audio Typing (essential)
Competent with Microsoft office programmes (essential)
