At our Darlington site, we specialise in Flutepac - a brand of sustainable, paper-based food packaging designed for the "food-to-go" market, fresh produce, baked goods, ready meals and more. About the Role
This role is central to ensuring smooth operations across our site, providing administrative and organisational support to HSE, Production, and Engineering departments. You'll play a key part in maintaining compliance, supporting reporting processes, and fostering effective communication across all levels of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to HSE, Production, and Engineering teams
Assist with compliance activities, including inductions, training coordination, and documentation management
Maintain accurate records in line with ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
Collate and input departmental data for KPI tracking and reporting
Support accident/incident reporting and follow-up actions
Coordinate cross-departmental communication to ensure timely completion of actions
Promote employee engagement and a positive site culture
Act as a point of contact for administrative queries when managers are unavailable
What We're Looking For
Proven administrative experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Knowledge of HSE practices and ISO management systems (desirable)
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise across all levels of the business
Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Minimum Requirements
Good oral/written communication and numeracy skills
High attention to detail and accuracy under pressure
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage conflicting deadlines
Strong problem-solving skills
Flexible and adaptable to changing demands
Effective team player with a collaborative approach
