What will you be doing?

You'll be assisting the Project Manager with the on-site operational management of Construction activity for the scheme.



Ensuring SHEQ standards are achieved, understanding the design, following the schedule and budget, directing a sub Agent and subcontractors.



The role will also feature an element of Stakeholder Liaison, ensuring that any parties likely to be affected by the scheme are kept informed in a timely manner and acting as their main point of contact to answer any queries



You'll be the on-site operational manager of Civil Engineering activity for the Contract on site, your duties will include, developing construction programmes, phasing plans and method statements.


We'll ask you to work closely with the project QS to develop monthly cost reports and capture Compensation events.


Efficient organisation of direct resources including, plant and labour along with timely procurement of materials.


Liaison with other stakeholders as required to deliver schemes (service managers, Designers, other tier 1 contractors etc) Ensure Activity plans, method statements and safe systems of work (including relevant Permits) are in place before work is started and that required safety standards are maintained at all times.



Your role will be to also ensure Subcontractors are prepared to undertake their work, Keep accurate records including site diary, records of works activities, resource allocations, quality documentation and as-built information.

What you'll bring

+ Civil Engineering or related qualification
+ CSCS card
+ SMSTS
+ UK/EEC driving licence

Preferable skills for Site Agent:

+ Demonstrable experience in the successful project management of highway maintenance and infrastructure schemes
+ Evidence of managing health & safety in construction.
