Site Agent - Renewable Energy Projects - Wind Farm
Our Footprints Site Agents play a pivotal role in the provision of our Owner's Engineer service. Working closely with a team of experienced specialist engineers (Electrical or Civil), Project Managers, and Graduate Engineers to successfully deliver a project on behalf of a client.
As the Owner's Engineer Site Agent, we work with the Principal Contractor to ensure that they are maintaining a safe and effective operational site and achieving the required quality standards. The Site Agent will report regularly to the Our Footprints Project Manager, liaising closely with all parties on site. Site Agents will at times be the only Our Footprints team member on site, and must be confident and comfortable working in this environment.
The Site Agent will have practical site experience of civil engineering construction, including roads, drainage, cable laying, reinforced concrete structures and buildings. The primary objective is to monitor the quality of the work ensuring that it is in compliance with the Employer's Requirements. This needs to be achieved within the Environmental and Health and Safety requirements for the project. The agent will work closely with the Project Manager and Electrical Engineer and a basic understanding of cable laying and sub-station construction will be useful. The position requires good communication skills and a willingness to work within a multi-disciplinary team of contractors and statutory bodies.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Provide site presence in the provision of Owner's Engineer service to Renewable Energy construction projects.
Liaise closely with the Our Footprints Project Manager to ensure safe, competent progress on site.
MAIN DUTIES:
Be the 'eyes and ears' on site for Our Footprints Project Manager, monitoring site activities including, but not limited to; delivery, installation, erection, testing and commissioning of either Wind Turbine Generators or Solar panels on site.
Acting in the best interest of the project, the Client and Our Footprints and interfacing with the Project Contractors, and other consultants and stakeholders.
Maintain a fulltime site presence during the project (during working hours for five days a week, during working days).
Monitor adherence to project plans and safety regulations, reporting any deviations or issues to the Client.
Where required provide daily reporting to the Our Footprints Project Manager detailing:
o Site activities
o Progress
o Incidents
o Safety observations
o Issues encountered
o Weather conditions
o Personnel & machinery or equipment on site
o Any other relevant details
Where required provide weekly reporting to the Our Footprints Project Manager, detailing:
o Summary of the weeks' activities
o Progress against construction schedule
o HSE compliance status
o Any significant issues
o Planned activities for the following week
o Any other salient information
Contribute and attend monthly project progress meetings
You will be required to comply with the rules and procedures set out in the Company Handbook, Company Health and Safety policy and any associated workplace policies and the ISO:9001 Quality Management System.
