We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.
You will be based out of our office in Taunton, Somerset - but will be required to travel to site within the region.
In this role, you will be working on a number of Highway and Cycleway Improvements including traffic signals, junctions and active travel upgrades. Therefore, you will need experience of managing Highway Construction/Improvements.

The Site Agent will be responsible for the management of the construction site in order to achieve required project delivery to our customers' requirements, while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, quality, reducing environmental impact and cost control. They will deliver multiple on-going projects, to the required programme, whilst managing change within the requirements of the contracts. The Site Agent will work closely with both the Octavius team and our Clients to ensure that projects are completed in a safe manner whilst customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.
To lead by example by engendering the collaborative culture throughout the team, including suppliers and customers, ensuring that everyone works towards our common vision of a vibrant delivery mechanism that delivers on promises and has safety and quality at its core.

About you.... (what you are skilled at)
Evidenced experience of managing Highway Construction/Improvements.
Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills, with an ability to prioritise and manage tasks simultaneously without compromising on minimum standards and quality.
Working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, programme and risk management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.
Good knowledge of specifications and testing regimes relevant to general civil engineering.
Lead team of up to 10 direct reports assisting their all-round development
Temporary Works Co-ordinator(desirable)
Good level of IT skills including MS Project, Excel.
Good level of programme management and application of conditions of contract (NEC, ICE, etc).
Full Driving Licence.

Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience or relevant qualification
NVQ Level 6 or above in construction related discipline.
SMSTS qualified.
Appointed person CPCS card(desirable)
