About the Placement

New Kent Road is a development partnership to deliver a 260-unit aparthotel in Southwark, south London The nine-storey development will regenerate a brownfield site on New Kent Road. Over the course of the project, which is due to be delivered in 2027, the development is expected to generate revenue of 36m for Watkin Jones


As a placement student, you will be involved in the day-to-day management of the site, working closely with our team of professionals, contractors, suppliers, and specialists from across the business. While the focus is on learning, you will also be expected to contribute to real work activities, helping you develop practical skills and industry knowledge.

Who We're Looking For

This opportunity is ideal for students currently pursuing a construction-related qualification. You should:


Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications Be capable of managing your own workload Demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative, and a willingness to learn

Previous work experience is beneficial but not essential--your passion and drive are what matter most.
