Role Description
We're seeking an experienced Site Carpenter to join our team and help bring our workshop creations to life on-site. You'll be responsible for the installation and fitting of our bespoke timber windows, doors, and joinery products in period properties across the region.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in precision, understands the importance of traditional methods, and can work sympathetically with historic buildings.
Key Responsibilities
Install bespoke timber windows, doors, and joinery products to exacting standards
Work on period properties, ensuring installations respect original architectural features
Carry out site surveys and take accurate measurements
Collaborate with our workshop team to ensure seamless project delivery
Maintain high standards of finish and attention to detail
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
Communicate professionally with clients on-site
Problem-solve and adapt installations to the unique challenges of heritage properties
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience as a site carpenter (minimum 3-5 years) - Strong knowledge of traditional joinery techniques - Experience working with timber windows and doors - Ability to read technical drawings and specifications - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality - Full UK driving license - Own tools (specialist equipment provided) - Professional and courteous manner with clients
Desirable:
- Experience working on period or listed properties - Understanding of conservation principles - NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry or equivalent - First Aid certification
