Job Description

Role Purpose





Leads all aspects of technical and quality compliance across the business and supply chain ensuring a high level of compliance is visible and maintained throughout.


Responsible for implementing Quality Management Systems ensuring all departments are aware of their roles responsibilities in relation to Food handling/management in accordance with BRC and best practice. Responsible for the management of the internal external regulatory audits.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities:





Responsible with the Senior Technical Manager for the successful implementation and completion of regulatory audit and customer audits. BRC accreditation maintained and be active in administrating the HACCP & TACCP team, ensuring meetings are held at the correct frequency and actions are closed out.


Ensure all internal audits are completed at the determined frequency in the schedule


Manage the Pest control for the site


Ensure that internal traceability is completed at the appropriate frequency


Ensure all required updates to the QMS are completed and administrated, through working with the Senior Technical Manager


Monitor all training for the site is being kept up to date and the personnel responsible for delivering training are aware of their requirements


Ensure non-conformances are closed out or raised at the appropriate level


Responsible for the update and reporting of compliance requirements on both internal and external systems.


Responsible for keeping up to date on new compliance and ethical requirements for the business.


Advise and support Managers from all departments on their compliance requirements ensuring all actions are delivered and reported effectively.


Responsible for highlighting issues or potential issues around compliance for the site to the appropriate level as they arise.


Responsible for producing appropriate guidelines/ policy for all aspect of compliance as well as updating existing documents.


Ensure that all pesticides and Micro testing samples are submitted according to the determined schedule, results are logged, PO's are raised and invoices signed off.


Ensure that all customer complaints and rejections are logged and that responses have been submitted.


Oversee that the benchmarking schedule is being completed at the determined frequency.

Key skills and knowledge required:







Previous Technical/Compliance experience within the Fresh Produce Industry


Excellent all-round communication skills


Excellent PC skills particularly in Excel


Excellent attention to detail


Ability to present clearly and concisely compliance requirements across all levels in the business


Experience in leading and managing 3rd Party Audits technical compliance audits


HACCP Qualified to Level 3

The post holder must be able to remain flexible with regards to working hours/days determined by business need. There may be a requirement to work out of 3rd party sites therefore a valid driving licence and an unrestricted passport for travelling purposes is required.
