Position Title: Site Electrical Engineer

Job Summary



We are an established construction company, with offices in Poland and the UK. Currently, we are navigating the intricacies of business expansion, which is both an exciting and demanding phase of the company's development. We are looking for an experienced and qualified Site Electrical Engineer to oversee, manage, and execute electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting on Waste to Energy Construction Site. The successful candidate will ensure all electrical systems and components meet regulatory standards, are installed and maintained effectively, and align with project requirements and timelines. This role is crucial in supporting the expansion of our business and it would ensure operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability of our site operations.

Key Responsibilities



Site Supervision and Coordination:

o Supervise and coordinate all electrical engineering activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project schedules and safety regulations.

o Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.

o Manage and oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, equipment, and wiring.

Technical Expertise and Support:

o Provide expert advice on electrical engineering matters, ensuring compliance with UK electrical regulations (BS 7671) and HSE standards.

o Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during construction or maintenance work.

o Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure high standards of quality control.

Design and Documentation:

o Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and project blueprints to ensure alignment with engineering requirements.

o Prepare detailed reports, technical specifications, and documentation for electrical systems and components.

o Liaise with the design team to resolve discrepancies or potential issues in project plans.

o Introducing changes to the documentation and 3D model on the construction site.

Quality Control and Compliance:

o Ensure that all electrical installations comply with industry standards, local codes, and UK regulations.

o Conduct routine inspections, testing, and audits of electrical installations to maintain quality standards.

o Document and address any non-compliance or safety issues, ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

o Implement health and safety protocols to minimise risks associated with electrical engineering activities.

o Promote and enforce site safety policies, including correct use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices.

o Participate in risk assessments, hazard analysis, and development of safety improvement plans.

Qualifications



Education: Bachelor's degree in Power Electrical Engineering or related field as a minimum.

Experience: Minimum of 3,5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or Engineer Designer within construction, industrial, or waste to energy sectors including project management or on-site supervision.

Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, NAVISWORKS, MS Project, EPLAN, Bentley BRCM, Revit) and knowledge of UK electrical regulations, including BS 7671.

Knowledge of Bentley BRCM software functions (Routing).

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a solution-focused approach.

Certifications: CSCS/CCNSG card is required;

Good command of English.

Strong knowledge of the construction standards and requirements

Fluency in English and Polish language is mandatory.

Fluency in other languages is a strong advantage

Driving license (cat B).

Salary and benefits



18.21 gross per hour.

Company pension scheme.

28 days holiday allowance (inclusive of bank holidays).

Work mode: On site in London;

Location: Ability to travel, multiple project locations in UK, travels to our head office in Poland.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 18.20-18.21 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week
