Our client, a leading UK construction company, is looking for a Site Engineer to join their team in Worcester.
The Site Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of work on site, following the day-to-day setting out requirements as directed by line managers. This is a 50-week contract with potential for ongoing work beyond that period.
The role involves close liaison with project management to meet QA and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) requirements. You will be responsible for completing inspection and test plans, risk assessments, and method statements to ensure safe and controlled delivery of works.
Additionally, the Site Engineer will support the Project Manager in preparing and managing the Site Safety File, including the development of the O&M Manual.
Responsibilities
Follow instructions from line managers regarding daily setting out and site requirements.
Liaise with project management to ensure compliance with methods, QA standards, and Inspection/Test Plans.
Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including allocation sheets, photographs, and drawing registers.
Report any out-of-tolerance works or site issues promptly to the Construction Manager.
Support the Project Manager in developing and managing Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and Health & Safety documentation.
Monitor progress and quality of works, coordinating with site teams and subcontractors as required.
Assist in supervising technical aspects of the programme, ensuring delivery to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
About You
Educated to degree level with a minimum of 2 years' practical site-based experience.
Essential certifications: CSCS, Sentinel ICI, SMSTS, Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS), and proficiency in CAD.
Proven experience in drainage and reinforced concrete (FRC) construction.
Strong understanding of temporary works processes and supervision requirements.
Familiar with site QA processes, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and method statement compliance.
Confident in liaising with multiple stakeholders including project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
TWS qualification preferred but not mandatory.
