We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Site Engineer with at least five years' experience to join our business working across a range of commercial projects. If you enjoy being out on-site, solving problems, and keeping things running smoothly.
The Site Engineer will be responsible to oversee and coordinate construction and civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with design specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in civil engineering, project management, and technical design to contribute to innovative infrastructure developments.
Responsibilities
Supervising on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans and safety standards.
Setting out on live commercial sites
Utilising software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and System design tools to prepare and review technical drawings, schematics, and models.
Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet deadlines.
Conducting land surveying activities using surveying tools to gather accurate site data.
Coordinating with architects, contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution.
Overseeing the implementation of land surveying techniques and ensuring accurate site measurements.
Preparing detailed reports on project progress, technical issues, and site conditions.
Ensuring all work adheres to relevant regulations, standards, and environmental guidelines.
Requirements
Proven experience in civil engineering or construction project management.
Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and Civil 3D.
Strong knowledge of system design principles and schematics development.
Precision Marking using robotic total stations, GPS, and laser levels to mark out coordinates for piles, foundations, drainage, columns, and steelwork.
Familiarity with construction processes, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong skills in using GPS, total stations (e.g., Leica TS15/TS16), and surveying software
Excellent organisational skills coupled with effective communication abilities.
A recognised degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred.
