About the Role

Gigawatt Industries Ltd is a leading Independent Connections Provider (ICP) delivering end-to-end EV charging and electrical infrastructure projects across the UK.

Due to continued growth and expansion of our project portfolio, we are seeking a

Site Engineer

who wants to be part of our core delivery team -- someone who takes pride in precision, quality, and teamwork.

Although much of our work is delivered on a subcontract basis as part of major EV infrastructure frameworks, this is a

permanent role

within Gigawatt Industries for an engineer who wants to grow with the business and play an active part in our next phase of expansion.

The successful candidate will be

involved from the start of each project through to completion

, working closely with the project management team to ensure every scheme is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out

setting-out and level control

for foundations, ducting routes, trenches, and plinths using coordinate data and design drawings. Verify the accuracy of on-site works against approved drawings, specifications, and tolerances. Support the project lifecycle from

initial setting-out through to final QA inspection and handover

. Maintain

as-built records

, red-line drawings, and QA documentation throughout delivery. Work closely with

project managers, civils supervisors, and electrical teams

to maintain programme integrity and technical accuracy. Conduct

quality and compliance checks

to ensure works meet client and DNO/IDNO standards prior to inspection. Provide feedback and contribute to continuous improvement across all civils delivery activities.

About You

Minimum 3 years' experience as a

Site Engineer

or

Setting-Out Engineer

in utilities, highways, or civil infrastructure projects. Proficient in

coordinate-based setting-out

equipment. Experienced in QA documentation and confident collaborating with project management and site teams. Comfortable travelling and staying away when required. Full UK driving licence essential. Experience in EV charging, power networks, or ICP projects is advantageous but not essential.
