Site Foreman

Linford Civil Engineering Ltd are a well-established Civil Engineering contractor, with various residential and commercial developments across Yorkshire and Tees Valley. Continual growth ensures the potential for long term, secure work.

We are looking to employ a highly motivated and reliable Site Foreman for immediate start at one of our sites located in York, North Yorkshire, to oversee and manage our site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction and a proven track record of successfully leading teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and supervise groundworks and Civils from initiation to completion, including roads and sewers

Manage and lead a team of groundworkers, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment

Cooperate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met

Interpret project plans and specifications, ensuring work is completed according to quality standards

Schedule and coordinate equipment, materials, and manpower to meet project deadlines

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards

Keep accurate records of project progress, materials used, and any issues encountered

Skills:

Proven experience as a groundworks Foreman or similar role in civil construction

In-depth knowledge of groundwork and civils regulations, standards, and best practices

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications

Competent in completing relevant paperwork

SMSTS essential

Must have full UK Driving license

Full Time

40 Hours Monday -Friday, between 7.30am - 4.30pm
