Job Description

Yorkshire Choice Homes is looking for a reliable and experienced Labourer to join our growing team on a 108-home development in Askern, with work expected to continue for approximately two years. This is a full-time, employed position with regular hours and the opportunity for progression and upskilling for the right candidate.

Key Details

Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 17:00 (40 hours/week)

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour, paid monthly (PAYE)

Contract: Employed with a 6-month probation period

Location: Based daily in Askern, with occasional travel to nearby sites as required

Start Date: Immediate

Role Responsibilities

Carrying out general labouring duties on a live construction site

Assisting tradespeople and supporting deliveries

Preparing homes for NHBC inspections, particularly pre-plaster

Keeping the site and plots clean, safe, and well-organised

Always staying productive - if there's nothing specific to do, grab a brush or tidy up

Occasionally supporting other regional developments as needed

What We're Looking For

Previous experience on new build housing developments

Familiarity with NHBC standards and inspection requirements

Valid CSCS card (required)

Driving licence (preferred)

Own basic hand tools

Hard-working, self-motivated, and able to use initiative

Willing to pick up a brush or lend a hand wherever needed

Keen eye for detail and takes pride in high-quality workmanship
