Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Site Labourer to join our growing Construction team. The role is based primarily at Moss Industrial Estate, Leigh.

Key Responsibilities

Support substructure and superstructure team leaders with daily site tasks, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

Assist with preparation, installation, and clean-up of materials, tools, and equipment across industrial construction and maintenance projects.

Perform general labouring duties such as digging, lifting, carrying, loading/unloading deliveries, and site housekeeping.

Follow instructions to help set out work areas, move materials into position, and prepare foundations, structural elements, and work platforms.

Operate basic hand and power tools in accordance with safety guidelines and training.

Maintain site cleanliness, waste management, and hazard control to ensure a well-organised and compliant work environment.

Support trades and specialist contractors as required, enabling the smooth delivery of substructure and superstructure activities.

Conduct routine checks on tools, equipment, and materials, reporting defects or shortages promptly to team leaders.

Adhere to all site safety standards, permits, and company procedures, contributing to a strong safety-first culture.

About you

Previous experience as a labourer in construction or industrial environments (preferred but not essential).

Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks in demanding conditions.

Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering consistent, high-quality work.

Willingness to follow direction from substructure and superstructure team leaders and work collaboratively within a crew.

Strong awareness of safety practices and the ability to identify potential hazards.

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and grow within the company.

Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Possession of a valid CSCS card or equivalent construction site certification (or willingness to obtain).

Full UK driving licence (advantageous). and demands.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 25,000.00 per year
