Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a hardworking and dependable
Site Labourer
to join our growing team in Wigan. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with a strong work ethic who thrive in physically demanding environments. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting various site activities and ensuring day-to-day site operations run smoothly.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
Move construction materials to work areas.
Operate and maintain hand and power tools (e.g., shovels, drills, saws).
Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and hazardous materials.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Dig trenches, pour concrete, and set up equipment.
Assist skilled tradespeople in their tasks.
Follow instructions from supervisors and ensure safety guidelines are met.
Help with the layout and construction of building foundations and structures.
Perform site cleanup and assist in maintaining a tidy work environment.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
Previous experience as a labourer in a construction setting preferred
Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
Willingness to follow site instructions and health & safety regulations
Valid CSCS card is desirable
Own tools and PPE is preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive Hourly Rate: 13.00 - 15.00 per hour, depending on experience and expertise.
Hours: 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend work required.
Performance bonus.
