2D Building Contractors are a multi-disciplinary Building Contractor undertaking predominantly refurbishment projects across various sectors within the industry.
We are recruiting for a Site Manager to oversee a project at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff for an 8 month period. There may be a permanent position at the end of the contract.
Duties will include
Reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements, Construction Phase H&S Plans etc.
Pre-construction planning including H&S and programming
Managing Site Health and Safety
Quality Control
Programming - liaising with the Project Coordinator to plan upcoming works
Liaising with Client and Subcontractors
Commercial - Liaising with QS regarding variations and procurement of materials
Advising on resource requirements for the projects
Delivering inductions, tool box talks and general briefings to site teams
You will need
experience with managing construction site H&S
good communication skills to deal with the site-based teams and clients
experience in supervision/management of refurbishment projects (preferable)
commercial awareness
good team working skills
the ability to lead and make decisions
experience using Microsoft packages including outlook, excel, projects, word
Salary: from 45,000.00 pa depending on experience

Driving License (required)
SMSTS (preferred)
CSCS supervision/management (preferred)
