Site Manager - Construction
Location: Bristol

Job Summary
We're looking for a driven and experienced Site Manager to join our Building Division on a major new education development in Bristol. In this key role, you'll take full responsibility for managing site operations-ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in a landmark development in the city, contributing to a transformative project that will leave a legacy for the local community.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all phases of the construction process, including planning, scheduling, and coordination with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure project delivery is on time, within budget, and meets the highest quality standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets.
• Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
• Uphold all health and safety standards, ensuring all site personnel are properly trained and compliant.
• Supervise and support subcontractors and on-site teams to ensure smooth execution of works.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with project plans.
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients as needed.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the wider construction team throughout the project lifecycle.

This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the Site Manager and the range of duties to be undertaken.

Person Specification
Essential

• Experience: Clear experience in a Site Manager role.
• Licence: Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; able to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Problem Solving: Analytical thinker with attention to detail and sound decision-making.
• Results-Oriented: Goal-focused with the ability to drive team performance.

Certifications

• Health & Safety Induction (including Management System)
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• CSR / SafePass / CSCS Card
• First Aid at Work
