Overview

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on

Site Manager

to join our successful projects team to support one of our key clients on a range of

small and large construction and mechanical & electrical projects

. This is a fully site-based role in Derby, focused on the day-to-day management of site activities within a live factory environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating teams, managing schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within specified deadlines.

Responsibilities

Be site-based within the factory, acting as the main point of contact for all site-related matters Supervise, coordinate, and manage construction and M&E contractors across multiple projects of varying size and complexity Manage daily site activities including permits, access, isolations, logistics, and sequencing of works in a live factory environment Ensure contractors have the information, access, and support required to complete their tasks efficiently Monitor site progress and proactively resolve site-based issues that could impact programme or factory operations Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance with site rules, RAMS, and statutory requirements Liaise closely with the Project Manager, providing regular updates on site progress, risks, and contractor performance

Requirements

Qualifications and proven experience in a Site Manager, Construction Manager, or similar role within construction and/or M&E environments Strong experience managing contractors within live operational or industrial sites Good technical understanding of mechanical and electrical installations Strong knowledge of health & safety, permit-to-work systems, and site coordination Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills Full clean driving license and access to a suitable car - you will be required to make your own way to your place of work - Derby
