We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Site Manager to join a dynamic construction team on a major care home extension project. This is a permanent role, starting in February, to allow time to get fully set up and prepare a comprehensive site plan ahead of construction beginning in the first week of March.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full delivery of a new build wing extension, from set out to completion.
Manage and supervise on-site labour, subcontractors, and resources efficiently.
Maintain high attention to detail across all aspects of the build, including quality, safety, and compliance.
Prepare and manage site paperwork, reports, and progress updates.
Think ahead and plan proactively to avoid delays or issues on site.
Contribute directly to the build when necessary - a hands-on approach is essential.
About You:
Proven experience managing full new-build projects, ideally within care home, healthcare, or commercial sectors.
Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, with a "bricks and mortar" mindset.
Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to set out and manage multiple elements of a site.
Professional presentation and communication skills are important - you'll be representing the project and liaising with clients and subcontractors.
A practical, hands-on attitude with a willingness to get involved on site when needed.
