Job Description

Our client, one of the country's leading full service sub-contractors for groundworks, civil engineering and construction. They are seeking a permanent Site Manager to join their expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise groundworks projects on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project flow. Monitor progress, quality, and safety standards throughout all phases of construction. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards. Conduct regular site meetings and produce progress reports for clients and stakeholders. Manage site logistics, materials, and equipment to optimize efficiency. Identify and resolve any issues or delays promptly to prevent project disruption.

Requirements:

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification. First Aid at Work qualification. Proven experience managing groundworks or civil engineering projects. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Valid CSCS card and other relevant safety certifications.

Desirable:

Experience with various groundworks techniques and materials. Knowledge of current health and safety legislation.

Must have extensive previous Groundworks knowledge and SMSTS, First Aid Training.
