We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-driven Rail and Civil Site Manager to oversee daily operations across our rail and civil engineering project sites. The Site Manager will be responsible for coordinating site activities, ensuring compliance with industry safety standards, managing subcontractors, and maintaining efficient workflow in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent knowledge of rail and civil engineering procedures, and the ability to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. A valid
PTS (Personal Track Safety)
certification is required, and a
driving licence
is essential.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations on rail and civil sites to ensure safe and efficient delivery of works
Lead and coordinate site teams, contractors, and suppliers to meet project objectives
Ensure strict compliance with rail safety standards, including PTS, industry regulations, and company safety procedures
Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality, progress, and adherence to safety protocols
Maintain accurate site documentation including daily reports, safety records, permits, and RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to plan site activities, manage timelines, and address technical challenges
Participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations
Coordinate plant, materials, and equipment to meet operational needs
Support conflict resolution on site and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and teams
Ensure works are delivered to specification and meet client and regulatory requirements
Uphold a positive on-site culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Experience
Proven experience as a Site Manager or Supervisor in rail or civil engineering projects
PTS certification required
CSCS card preferred but not essential
Full driving licence required
Strong understanding of rail safety standards, civil construction processes, and site management best practices
Experience coordinating labour, contractors, and plant on active work sites
Strong organisational and communication skills, including report writing and maintaining site records
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-moving environment
Demonstrated ability to handle on-site challenges professionally while maintaining positive team relationships
Knowledge of safety documentation (RAMS), site audits, and industry compliance requirements

Pay: 30,507.29-59,392.90 per year
