The Role: Primarily responsible for undertaking site management of mechanical & electrical installations, dry & wet commissioning, maintenance & AFM works and the technical / hands on support of Evoqua Water Technologies Wastewater Products and Solutions. Working under their own initiative with minimal supervision to provide our customers with a high-quality service, the work will encompass installation, commissioning, inspections, training, fault finding, repairs and making recommendations to external customers as well as internal colleagues. The range of products will encompass all wastewater products but typically ballast treatment systems. Example trade products/names are CoMag & BioMag Waste Treatment Systems. Location: UK based. The role will involve travel within the UK on a weekly basis, with variable nights away plus occasional overseas work Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the supervision and managerial lead of mechanical and electrical installations plus lead commissioning [dry and wet] of all site-based Evoqua activities, having a strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes. Will solicit guidance, advice and assistance from control systems engineers, mechanical, electrical and process engineers whilst directed by the project manager, concluding in the successful delivery of a treatment process solution.
  • Responsible for planning, documenting and executing equipment offloading and site installations for the full range of Evoqua Wastewater products and systems. Mechanical and electrical installations are to be completed to good engineering practice, client specifications and in accordance with contract designs and documentation.
  • Responsible for planning, documenting and executing dry and wet commissioning of wastewater treatment processes for the full range of Evoqua Wastewater products & systems. Commissioning is to be completed to good engineering practice, client specifications and in accordance with company designs and documentation.
  • Responsibility for Environmental and H&S requirements whilst on site, ensuring all relevant control measures are in place. This will include the generation and completion of relevant risk assessments, method statements and the enforcement/undertaking of all relevant legislative training requirements. Ensuring that all other activities undertaken on-site have associated method statements, risk assessments & permits to work in place. The co-ordination of Evoqua Water Technologies service activities on customer sites to ensuring compliance with site rules and requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all site records and reports pertaining to the installation and commissioning are completed in line with company procedures; and are sent to the project manager within specified time frames.
  • Responsible and the first point of contact for all completed projects in the contract warranty phase. Will interface with client and coordinate efforts with the Evoqua project manager and engineers to determine if issued raised are genuine warranty claims. To execute the adopted solution and provide customer satisfaction whilst addressing the issue raised.
  • To build relationship & partnerships with our external customers to promote and assist with the selling and execution of equipment spares & maintenance packages.
  • When not site based, the roles requires you to attend the Evoqua offices in Derby. You will assist with the following 2 major functions:
  • Equipment inspection, assembly works and office delivery logistics.
  • Assist the project managers and engineers with managing, communicating and preparing documentation for suppliers.
Requirements: - Essential
  • Ability to work at remote sites either on own, or with others, and commitment to vary working hours to meet the needs of the role.
  • Willingness to travel and work in different geographical locations which will necessitate periods of time being spent away from home Able to travel and work abroad for short periods of time when opportunities arise.
  • Ability to assimilate information gained on the job and from training materials and courses and apply that learning in the field.
  • Ability to manage own workload and to adjust and adapt given work schedule in line with variable business demands.
  • Ability to read Engineering Drawings (Electrical, Mechanical, Process) to successfully delivery a Wastewater treatment solution.
Education & Training (Desirable)
  • Have a HND, HNC or City & Guilds Engineering Qualification.
  • Apprentice trained craftsman with electrical/ instrument/ process control background and qualification.
  • Hold a valid CSCS or CCNSG card.
  • Hold a valid H&S nationally recognised qualification.
  • Hold a valid First Aid 4day Qualification.
