Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Site/Works Package Manager with Solar Experience and preferably electrical knowledge to lead day-to-day site operations on our solar farm project near Castleford.

Need to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery of the DC electrical works package.

This is a 4 month project with an exiting future pipeline of works..

Job Summary

The Manager will oversee on-site construction activities, coordinating and supervising subcontractors and/or internal labour resource, and ensuring that all works are delivered to the required safety, quality, and schedule standards. The role will be critical in ensuring that contractual obligations are met.

Act as the primary on-site representative for the company, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and safely. Coordinate with the Client and other Subcontractors on-site. Quality Assurance Ensure installation works are delivered in line with technical specifications, drawings, and project quality standards. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance Supporting the HSQE Manager with site audits, toolbox talks, and incident reporting. Ensure RAMS are followed by all subcontractors/staff and that site safety protocols are implemented and maintained. Support the Contracts Manager in ensuring subcontractors and staff deliver in line with contractual obligations. Monitor and record subcontractor performance, variations, and any non-conformances. Act as a point of contact for client representatives and key project stakeholders during site visits and inspections.
Qualifications & Experience

Proven track record as a Site Manager or Construction Supervisor on large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects. Experience in utility-scale solar, electrical infrastructure, or civil engineering projects. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, drawings, and quality standards. SMSTS, SSSTS or equivalent safety qualification required. Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills. Proficiency in site reporting, Microsoft Office, and basic project management tools.
Other Requirements

Must be based on-site with flexibility for extended hours as project phases require. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple subcontractor teams concurrently. A proactive, hands-on approach to site leadership and problem-solving.
