The Manufacturing Site Lead is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and strategic direction of the manufacturing site. This role ensures that safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people objectives are met while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Site Lead acts as the primary liaison between site operations and corporate leadership, driving alignment with business goals and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership

• Lead daily plant operations to ensure production targets are met for quality, delivery, and cost.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term operational strategies to support business objectives.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with company standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Champion a culture of safety and ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee quality management systems to maintain product integrity and compliance with ISO, GMP, or other relevant standards.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

People Management & Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing site team, fostering accountability and engagement at all levels.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration and effective communication throughout the site.
• Manage workforce planning, including recruitment, training, and performance management.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive operational excellence through Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
• Utilize data-driven decision-making to enhance performance across all KPIs.

Financial & Resource Management

• Develop and manage the site's operating budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
• Partner with finance to monitor key performance indicators and ensure fiscal discipline.
• Support capital investment projects and maintenance programs to ensure sustainable operations.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the primary point of contact for site-related communications with corporate leadership and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to align operational priorities.
• Represent the site in audits, customer visits, and community engagements.

Qualifications
Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including at least 3 years in a site or plant management role.
• Proven experience in managing P&L, operational strategy, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in [industry-e.g., food, automotive, pharmaceutical, electronics, etc.] manufacturing preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing systems (ERP/MES) and lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong knowledge of EHS, quality, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
