We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking site operative to join our team on an as-needed basis, with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate. The role involves supporting various projects across the Northwest and Scotland, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. This position requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well within a team.
Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment.
- Perform general site tasks, including stripping non-hazardous materials (soft strips).
- Follow instructions from site management or company directors as needed.
- Safely operate basic hand tools and power tools. (training will be provided)
- Comply with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Promptly report any hazards or issues to management.
- Removal of non-licensed asbestos material (CAT B training, medicals, PPE, and RPE will be provided for the right candidate).
Skills
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects.
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
- Must hold a full UK driving license.
- Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be over 18 years old.
