Your Role:



An opportunity has arisen for a Site Operative in Avonmouth, Bristol. Working as part of a small team the Site Operative role is multi-functional. The main purpose is to control and manage the Grain Intake process working to documented procedures to maintain a high standard of health & safety, food safety, equipment operation, hygiene, and quality. You will provide a support role for weighbridge operations when need. You will be trained in Milling functions including product sampling and test with the longer-term purpose to gain the skills to be able to fulfil the role of a Miller in the future.

Your

Responsibilities:Perform all silo duties; from wheat intake; wheat transfer and out loading of products.(Wheatfeed) Competence level of weighbridge operation and accurate stock control records. Assist the Millers in the operation and control of the plant equipment, mill operating systems, screen room and finished product handling. Perform hygiene duties as allocated to maintain the standards demanded by the company, customers, and food safety legislation. Sampling and analysis of raw materials, internal stocks and finished products, as required to produce the quality of products as required by the company. Ensure that all work is performed with due diligence and in conformation of all current and future relevant legislation and company procedures. Support other Site functions as the need arises. Conduct Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in accordance with company procedures and standards Assist in maintaining clear records and data bases relating to all operational matters and process control systems. Assist the Millers and Process Technicians and conduct plant maintenance within the individuals' skill base, to ensure that all plant is operating to its optimum. Ensuring milling downtime is minimised to ensure optimum plant efficiency.


Your Profile:



Familiar with a range of Microsoft applications and able to competently use EXCEL and WORD etc The ability to work as part of a small team and alone Self motivated Good secondary education, particularly in mathematics and English Work experience in a production environment
