The Role
Are you a reliable and skilled groundworker looking for long-term work with a company that values its people?
We're seeking experienced groundworkers responsible for all aspects of plot works on residential developments, including drainage installation, foundations, kerbing, slabbing, concreting, and finishing works. You'll be expected to work collaboratively with site teams, interpret drawings, and ensure work is completed safely and to specification.
What You'll Be Doing
Carrying out all aspects of plot works, including drainage, foundations, and service ducting
Installing kerbs, edgings, and paving to specification
Preparing and pouring concrete slabs and footings
Operating plant machinery such as dumper, roller, and excavator (if ticketed)
Reading and interpreting site drawings and levels accurately
Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with site RAMS
Collaborating with site teams to meet build programme deadlines
Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Reporting any issues or delays to the Site Manager or Supervisor
Supporting other trades and assisting with general site duties as required
Location, Hours & Travel
Based in West Cumbria; site hours depend on the client, with a minimum of 8 hours per day and occasional Saturday overtime
Travel is provided, with most successful candidates picked up and dropped off by a company vehicle
