Working as a member of the Planning and Logistics team - being responsible for the ownership and maintenance of the site Master Production Schedule.
Being a member of a cross functional planning team: co-ordinating with customer site scheduling to update and align requirements, delivery plans and sharing best practice across the planning community.
Ensure demand is reviewed and production plans are accurately reflected within SAP. This includes reviewing demand requirements, BoM requirements, supplier set up in the system, order placement, production planning and capacity balancing.
Work collaboratively across the supply chain team to understand and predict any concerns and develop plans to mitigate these, including escalation of concerns to realising the plan and presenting these to senior management
Support capacity balancing and scenario planning to support business requirements

Your skills and experience:
Essential:
Working knowledge of SAP
Extensive production and materials planning experience
Demonstrable experience of excellent stakeholder management
Works on own initiative with limited supervision and with responsibility for delivery, escalating concerns
Excellent communication skills
Desirable:
Likely to hold or working towards a professional accreditation (e.g. Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) or other equivalent professional body
Experienced in analysing information and implementing solutions with support, that best meet the requirements of the business

The Production Control team:
Join our Production Control team at BAE Systems and play a key role in ensuring continuity of supply across the Defence Solutions Business. In this role, you will work collaboratively with all logistics team members, as well as a range of key external stakeholders across the business, to ensure that production is planned in line with business requirements across the supply chain.
