To strengthen our motivated Team at our Packaging Plant in Bradford, we are looking for a passionate Site Services Assistan t (m/f/d).


The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting the Company in any Site services duties ensuring and maintaining the expected standards of internal and external housekeeping, and the functionality of the physical site (buildings and grounds).

Successful candidates should be educated to a good standard with previous experience of working within a Site Services position preferably within FMCG. Knowledge of machinery and certification to operate Counterbalance and a Ride on Pallet Truck is essential to this role, as well as previous skills and knowledge of working within a fast paced and ever-changing manufacturing environment. Candidates must have sound knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety alongside the ability to adhere to company policy and procedures. The ability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills is essential to this role, as well as the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Individuals must be able to prioritise their workload and work effectively when under pressure, as working to tight deadlines is part of this role. Applicants should have a flexible approach to working, be both externally and internally customer focussed and be both reliable and methodical. A sound knowledge of IT packages as well as attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills are also desirable to this role.


Key Responsibilities:

Ensure close monitoring of compliance to safety and hygiene standards taking prompt action in the event of any concerns in respect of general conduct and site maintenance. Follow Health and Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment, escalating concerns and risk. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements ensuring full SWOP compliance and standards. Compliance with good housekeeping, GMP procedures and the 5s methodologies. Meet stipulated deadlines, ensuring allocated tasks are completed within the daily, weekly and monthly Responsibility for department allocated phone whilst on shift to ensure prompt and swift support is provided across site. Attend the required site briefings and training allocated. Maintenance of all site services-based equipment. General maintenance and repairs across site. Assisting with facilities management. Safe removal of waste from the production and service areas. Ensure all department related documentation is completed as per SWOP requirements. Complete compliance-based tasks and audits as required by H&S and Engineering Manager. Responsible for subsequent associated disposal activities of site. Ensure Company BRC compliance regarding clothing stocks. Ensure Company BRC compliance regarding consumables. Monitor costs related to materials and services, identifying opportunities for savings, and ensuring adherence to budget guidelines. Work with the wider site team to manage stock levels, minimize waste, and ensure that materials are available when needed. Ensure all consumable stock levels are audited and managed on a weekly basis. Maintain strapping equipment as per SWOP. Ensure the security of site - locking and opening the site access as per the agreed timetable. Complete FLT and pallet truck duties as required. Ensure all accident/near misses/damages are recorded and reported and fully investigated promptly. Actively support Company improvement initiatives and constructively participate in projects as required. Support all new and existing employees in department related activities, training and development to ensure the success of the department and company

This is a day shift position working 37.5 hours per week with paid breaks. On occasion, due to the nature of this role you will need to demonstrate a certain amount of flexibility
