Job Description

The Site Storeman is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment on-site. This role ensures that inventory is accurately tracked, securely stored, and readily available to support site operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and record deliveries of materials and equipment. Organize and maintain the store area to ensure cleanliness, safety, and accessibility. Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the relevant departments. Issue tools, equipment, and materials to site personnel as required. Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or digital systems. Coordinate with suppliers and site teams to ensure timely delivery and dispatch. Conduct regular stock checks and audits. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storage area. Assist with loading/unloading and transportation of goods when necessary. Report damaged or faulty items and arrange for replacements or repairs.

Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in a storekeeping or warehouse role, preferably in a site-based environment. Good organizational and time-management skills. Basic IT skills for inventory management systems. Ability to lift and move heavy items safely. Forklift license or other relevant certifications (desirable). Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Working Conditions:

Based on-site, may involve working outdoors or in varying weather conditions. May require wearing PPE and adhering to site safety protocols. Physical work including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
