The Role

The Site Supervisor will lead or support delivery of foodservice projects within the UK, and occasionally Europe and other worldwide locations.


The Site Supervisor is a key on-site role; being a point of contact with the client, delivering to plan, and finding solutions to issues. You may be working alone or leading a team of contractors or casual labourers depending upon the size and scale of the project. You will be liaising with, and working alongside, installation engineers, transport teams, sales team and project managers, as well as other external client contractors.


You will need to be available and willing to work away from home for periods of time. Given the time criticality of project delivery, you will need to be committed to seeing things through to timely completion with the ability to navigate unforeseen challenges along the way.



Key responsibilities will include:


Attend projects to support with catering and refrigeration equipment installations within traditional buildings, tent structures and modular buildings as well as Portable Kitchen installations comprising modular units. Liaise closely with the client on all matters relating with the project. Be responsible for a team of contractors/ casual workers and lead the team. Giving them clear instructions of the job and ensuring Health & Safety at Work requirements are met and followed. Set a high standard of personal appearance in all aspects of the project team to include: + Care and use of clothing.
+ Respect, cleanliness and care for Lowe and the client's company property and vehicles.
+ Maintain a clean and tidy site.
Work tightly to the contract with the client and ensure that all contractors working for Lowe/PKL have clear contracts and subsequent written communication. Ensure that any change or delays by the client result in a clear contract change order with associated costs. If on site, report daily back to their line manager with progress and escalation of issues that can't be rectified on site.

The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with excellent work ethic and the following skills and experience:


Previous experience of site supervision in a business-to-business environment. Be able to supervise, delegate, and be hands-on in fast moving operational environment. Problem solver and can-do attitude, wants to be part of the solution. Basic computer skills required. Full clean driving licence. Ability and willingness to travel anywhere within the UK, Europe and other worldwide locations and be away from home for periods of time is essential. Good communicator at all levels and can clearly communicate with the client. Logical decision maker, quick to act but takes responsibility for their actions. Makes decisions under pressure and deals with problems in a timely manner. Leads by example. Strong attention to detail, works in a tidy, organised way, prioritises work activities and plans how to meet deadlines.

Desirable:

Experience in catering, refrigeration equipment and/or modular buildings desirable but not essential. Forklift and telehandler licence desirable or willingness to undertake.
